Darkwood Keep Darkwood Castle is the home of the queen's court and the warriors. Actually used to describe the paramount and center of the city, the Darkwood Keep includes not only the castle that houses the queen's court, but also the fortress used by the warriors. They are polar opposites, the castle beautiful and chateau-like with its ivory stone, while the fortress is a darkened shade, and simply built. The castle is open and airy on the inside, tastefully decorated with green courtyards and countless lavish chambers for various occasions, as well as quarters for the royal family, visiting nobles and the servants. The fortress, predating the castle by a century, is built as a last resort in the event of an attack. However, this purpose is no longer needed, and now the sparse stony corridors house the queen's army.
Armyen [Upper Tier] The upper tier of the city, practically on the doorstep of the keep, is home to the lavish buildings and gardens of the nobility. Spacious, it somehow remains simple in spite of the luxury just over the walls to either side, and has a certain peace about it. This is also the site of the temple, a complex of shrines to the various deities of Telula.
The Market An undeniable attraction, the market square is vast, and the shops, stalls and stands flow onto the smaller side streets. It is a colorful and noisy scene, with merchants, farmerse and craftsmen all clamoring for customers. Though almost anything can be found here, prices can by high, and it is also prime pick-pocket country.
Terigann [Middle Tier] Cover the majority of the city, Terigann is home to most of the population - even the not-so-well off can afford a modest lodging here. The streets are cobbled, and mostly wide enough for two carts to drive side-by-side, often lined with small shops. However, the main shopping hub is the market.
Lower Tier The equivalent of the slums, the lower tier surrounds the main city, the buildings old and crumbling, remnants of a past era when the city was more prosperous than now. Here, the law is considered a luxury, and gangs are not uncommon. Situated along the river, it is a quiet part of town, partially deserted.

The Edge To the south of the city the river flows into a large lake before making the short, mile-long journey to the see. The water is fresh and crystal clear, the rocks, for the most part, white. It is a beautiful but dangerous place, as mermaids haunt the deeper waters.
Stoneybrook Meadow A small stream winds its way through this fertile farmland on its way to the river. It is close to the city, and so the main road passes through it. Not only prime for farming, but herbs are also plentiful and outcrops of trees dot the countryside making it is a peaceful place for people to relax.

The Darkwoods This forest is massive, stretching from the northern side of the city for hundreds of miles. Very few people have ever entered the center of the woods, but it is well known that strange creatures lurk there, preferring the darkness to the lighter, more airy borders.

Glendora Falls Glendora Falls is a huge, majestic cataract not far into the forest where the land takes a sudden turn upwards. It isn't far from the city; despite that, its the perfect place for meditation and being alone. Swimming is also enjoyable, but the water is icy for most of the year.
The Degan Marsh A dark, festering system of marshes and swamps many miles above the falls, expanding for many leagues beyond the river's normal course. The water is dangerous to drink, and the land itself is deceptive, with the safe paths constantly changing, and the swamp's muck ready to embrace unwary strayers.

The Odori Desert The lands far to the west of the city and forest are a desolate wasteland of baking sand, mud and stone. It was proclaimed years ago by the monarch that it was forbidden to enter without permission. It is not only an oven, but it is home to many of the larger, more dangerous monsters that roam Telula.
The Borderlands This long untraveled moor is on the very edge of the commonly known world. A dull, gray landscape, it is dotted with large rocks and debris. No one lives or travels here, but it is rumored to be where humans first enter Telula.

[x] Claimed Lands
Hollilia An offshoot of Stoneybrook Meadow, the grasslands stretch for miles, eventually reaching the foothills of the mountains, where the ground turns pebbly and hilly. The grass varies in height, streams and trees are also not rare on the savanna. This is the realm of the shifter-horse herds that answer to their own laws, and those of the realm.
Tonet Range [Tonetta] The Tonett mountain range reaches for several miles in a vast curve - no one knows how wide. While in the lower altitudes the ground is thick with pines, the peaks are snow-capped year round and barren. Valleys are common and green. This is the hunting ground of the Tonetta Wolf Pack, and few intruders ever bother to come this far away from civilization. Moderator: Little Red
Ingodan Fields [Ingodor] At the base of the mountains, the fields are divided from Hollila by a string of forest, making it a secluded location in the foothills. Game is plentiful, and the wolves of the Ingodor Pack have made this their home.
